Injunction procedure has several specialized features: the temporary restraining order, the preliminary injunction, the lack of a jury trial, and the motion to modify or dissolve. Judges wield contempt to enforce injunctions against recalcitrant defendants; the distinctions between criminal and civil contempt; the characteristics of compensatory contempt, coercive contempt, and criminal contempt; and who must obey an injunction will also be examined. Three hours. Rendleman Not offered in 2018-2019.
