Neuroscience major leading to BS degree

A major in neuroscience leading to a Bachelor of Science degree requires the completion of at least 50 credits in science and mathematics, including 47 or more credits from the following:

  1. Core (5 courses): BIOL 111/113, BIOL 211, 211S, or 220; CBSC/PSYC 111; CHEM 110; and NEUR 120, 121
  2. Quantitative Methods (3 courses)
    1. Computational: One course chosen from BIOL 185, 187, 282; CSCI 102, 121
    2. Statistics and Research Design: CBSC/PSYC 120; and either BIOL 201 or CBSC/PSYC 250
  3. Specialization: Completion of at least five additional courses selected from the following and chosen from at least two disciplines
    1. BIOL 211 (or 211S), 220, 243, 250, 255, 275, 280, 282, 283, 360, 362, 365, 397
    2. CBSC/PSYC 216, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 259
    3. CSCI 102, 121
    4. ENGN 267 (BIOL 267)
    5. NEUR 395
  4. Capstone: Six credits chosen from the following:
    1. At least three credits chosen from CBSC/PSYC 353, 354, 355, 359; NEUR 423, 442, 493
    2. No more than three credits chosen from NEUR 401, 403, 422, 453
  5. Submission of the Neuroscience e-portfolio.
