LAW 326P - International Environmental Law Practicum.

Using the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant disaster as a principal case study, this course will offer third-year students the opportunity to engage in advanced legal writing and research in the field of the international environmental law. This mixture of research and practical work will provide them with an understanding of the structure and limitations of international environmental law, as well as the application of international environmental law and its interaction with EU environmental law and national laws. The program should prepare future lawyers for their engagement in international environmental disputes, which are becoming more frequent and increasingly complex due to the problems of accountability for transboundary environmental harm. The course will also involve issues of international free trade and its relationship with environmental standards.Three hours.Čavoški
