HIST 381 - Seminar: Japan in World War II FDR: HU Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing. A study of Japan in the war including the Manchurian Incident, the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the road to Pearl Harbor, the war, Japan’s decision to surrender, the controversy over the role of Emperor Hirohito. Using films, memoirs, and wartime and later Japanese writings, the period is viewed from both Japanese and western perspectives. Bello.
