LAW 509 - Civil Procedure

Prerequisites: 1L class standing.
Description: This course commences with an overview of the system of civil litigation. Thereafter, topics for study will include personal jurisdiction, notice, subject matter jurisdiction, venue, the Erie doctrine, pleadings, pre-trial matters, joinder of parties and claims, discovery, dispositive motions, and preclusion of issues and claims.
