LAW 281 - European Court of Human Rights Seminar.

Students will study European and International Human Rights issues through readings of selected cases from the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). This seminar is jointly taught (by video conference) with students and faculty from Union University School of Law in Belgrade, Serbia, and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. Past and current cases from the ECHR will be used as the teaching guide for students at all three schools. W&L students will prepare a written draft opinion from a case currently before the court as a paper for a grade and may with extensive writing and rewriting after draft review fulfill the second-year writing requirement.
