LAW 299 - American Indian Law.


This course examines the development of American Indian law, including the history of federal Indian policy, treaties, trust responsibility, civil and criminal jurisdiction, and the federal, state, and tribal relationship. Current issues will also be examined, including the powers of Indian tribes, the Indian Child Welfare Act, taxation, economic development regulation, and gaming. Two hours. Not offered in 2015-2016.
