The accounting major at Washington and Lee University builds on the liberal arts course foundation, increasing analytical and communication skills while providing the knowledge necessary to work in any number of business areas. Majors take a combination of accounting & finance, economics, and business administration courses which prepares them for a variety of jobs.

Note(s):

To satisfy the CPA education requirements for the State of Virginia, we recommend students complete:

all five courses listed in Upper Level Accounting (four will satisfy the Accounting requirement and the fifth will count towards the Business requirement), and
three additional credits of coursework in business, economics, or finance.
