Biochemistry major leading to BS degree

The major in biochemistry leading to a Bachelor of Science degree requires completion of 57 credits as follows:
- BIOL 111 and 113; CHEM 111, 112, 241 or 241S, 242, 243, 250, 260, 341, 342, 343, 344; MATH 101 and 102; PHYS 111, 112, 113, 114
- Two additional courses totaling at least four credits chosen from the following. Only one 400-level course may count toward the major.
BIOL 220, 221, 225, 301, 310, 320, 350, and when the topic is appropriate and approved by the chemistry department head, BIOL 295, 395, 396, 422 or 423
CHEM 262, 311, 345, and when the topic is appropriate and approved by the chemistry department head, CHEM 295, 297, 298, 401, 402, 403, 421, 422 or 423
NEUR 395, 422 or 423, when the topic is appropriate and approved by the chemistry department head
- Completion of the Major Field Test in Chemistry.
