A major in studio art leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree requires completion of at least 36 credits, as follows:
- ARTS 111, 309, 473; ARTH 267
- Either ARTS 112 or 131
- Nine additional credits, one course each from three of the following six areas:
- Design: ARTS 131
- Drawing: ARTS 112, 211
- Painting: ARTS 217
- Photography: ARTS 120
- Printmaking: ARTS 227
- Sculpture: ARTS 231
- Nine additional credits, from one of the following five areas. A cross-media emphasis may be taken with permission of the studio art faculty.
- Drawing: ARTS 112, 211, 212, 213, 214
- Painting: ARTS 217, 218, 291, 317, 318
- Photography: ARTS 120, 220, 224, 292, 320, 321
- Printmaking: ARTS 226, 227, 228, 327, 328, 329
- Sculpture: ARTS 231, 232, 331, 332
- Three additional credits in ARTH
