Theater, Dance, and Film Studies (THTR, DANC, FILM)

The Department of Theater, Dance, and Film Studies offers a major in theater and minors in theater, dance, and film and visual culture. In Lenfest Hall the department produces a season of theatrical events drawn from a wide range of periods and styles that engage students in all areas of the performing arts. The performance season includes elaborately presented main-stage plays and musicals, dance concerts, a series of student-directed short plays, and a variety of faculty or student-generated workshop productions. Each year the department invites a number of distinguished guest actors, directors, playwrights, choreographers, dancers, designers, or theater scholars to share their expertise with students.

HONORS: An Honors Program in Theater is offered for well-qualified majors; see department head for details.
