INTR 275 - The Science and Practice of Medicine

Prerequisite: Prerequisite: BIOL 111, CHEM 110, or PHYS 111.

This course is for students with a strong interest in medical careers. It combines observation and experience in a variety of medical specialties with a study of the science and ethics behind medical practice. It is faculty-supervised, off-campus, and will take place in Richmond, VA. Site visits, grand rounds, seminars, case studies, and shadowing will provide opportunities for students to think critically about science and medicine, as well as reflect deeply on their interests and expectations.
