DANC 423 - Directed Independent Research Credits: 3
Prerequisite: instructor consent. Students will enrich their academic experience by pursuing advanced study in a specialized area of dance. Permission to undertake directed individual research is a privilege granted to students who have demonstrated their ability to work with little supervision. The student wishing to undertake the class must develop a three- to five-page written proposal that includes the problem or issue to be addressed, an outline of the proposed methodology to be used in executing the research, and a statement of the intended outcome with a schedule for completing it. Student must secure approval for the research by the faculty advisor of the project. May be repeated for credit.
