PE 125 - Health & Fitness Fundamentals

Credits: 1 Health and Fundamentals will combine teaching the practical areas of fitness training principles along with theory-based knowledge. Students will be able to assess their own current levels of health and wellness and develop a plan for an improved physical and mental lifestyle. Students will gain an appreciation for the importance and differences between aerobic, anaerobic, strength and interval training as well as how to make a plan for their emotional well-being by understanding nutrition, benefits of sleep and the importance of a mindfulness. Students will keep a journal throughout the course and make their own training program as part of their assessment.  FDR: FP Cunningham.
