Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ENV-110 and instructor consent. Students undertake significant original research or creative activity in the area of environmental studies, under the direction of a faculty member. May be repeated for degree credit if the topics are different.

Winter 2021, ENV 403-01: Incorporating Scarcity Concepts into a Carbon Tax (3). Prerequisite: ENV-110 and instructor consent. This independent study will examine research into appropriate levels of a carbon tax and develop a mathematical formula to incorporate scarcity into a carbon tax.
