Winter 2021, ARTH 394A-01: Seminar in Art History: Surrealism (3). This seminar on Surrealist art will run concurrently with the lecture course, ARTH 264. In addition to examining the key writings, artworks and ideas aligned with surrealism, seminar students will delve more deeply into specific topics including Salvador Dalí’s autobiography, Latin American surrealism, and the movement’s stance against French colonialism.
