Prerequisite: Grade C or better in PHYS (ENGN) 207. An introduction to practical analog and digital electronics emphasizing design, construction, and measurement of circuits in the laboratory. Topics may include diode wave-shaping circuits, transistor audio amplifiers, power supplies, oscillators, data converters (A/D and D/A), Boolean logic gates, programmable logic devices, flip-flops, counters, data storage and retrieval, and a survey of emerging technologies.
