BUS 349 - Negotiation and Dispute Resolution in a Business Environment

Planned Offering: Spring

Prerequisite: At least junior standing. Preference to BSADM or JOURF (JMCB) majors during first round of registration. This course is designed to give students the abilities to negotiate successfully in a commercial environment and to create business solutions when a problem or dispute arises. Lectures, written materials, group projects, video, and role-play are utilized to explore the various theories of negotiation and types of dispute resolution, and to equip students with practical skills for forming and preserving business relationships and resolving business disputes as they occur.
