ITAL 161 - Intermediate Italian I

Prerequisites: Departmental permission and either ITAL 113 or the equivalent in language skills.With some attention paid to review of the major elements of Italian grammar and phonetics, this courses addresses the development of the first stage of intermediate communicative Italian vocabulary and develops active intermediate competence in the language. The traditional skills of foreign language instruction (structure, listening comprehension, reading, writing and speaking) are stressed.Staff.
