Over the course of three decades, the computer science department at Washington and Lee has built a curriculum that provides outstanding computer science education in a liberal arts setting. We offer students courses in all of the major areas of computing, as well as opportunities to participate in several ongoing research programs sponsored by our faculty.
An additional course required as a prerequisite for completion of the Computer Science B.S. is MATH 101 .
Students expecting to major in computer science should take MATH 121 or MATH 225 by fall of their third year.

Complete all courses from the following list: Mathematics
Choose one course from the following list: Upper Level Computer Science
Choose two courses from the following list: Computer Science Electives
Choose two additional computer science courses totaling at least six credits. At most one 400-level course may count toward the major if approved by the computer science department head. Mathematics Electives
Choose six additional credits in mathematics courses at the 200-level or above. Total Major Requirements 50 Credits
