GERM 304 - Bonn and Beyond: A Supervised Study Through Germany’s Rhineland

Planned Offering: Spring 2014 and every third year.

Prerequisites: GERM 261 and 262 completed with a grade of B (3.0) or better and an average of B in all German courses taken; or permission of the department; and the approval of the International Education Committee. Spring Term Abroad course. This intensive language course offers students an extended period of direct exposure to the language, culture, and people of Germany. Students immerse themselves in the culturally rich environs of Bonn, Cologne, and Germany’s Rhineland, improving their language skills through extensive and innovative language instruction. Students also gain greater understanding of German history and contemporary culture through lectures by native authorities, tours of museums and churches, and through their contact with their host families as well as native German university students.
