This one-credit winter-term seminar prepares students for the Spring Term Abroad course, The Business of LEGO. This preparatory course establishes foundational understanding of the LEGO Group’s history, development, and organizational context through readings and discussion. Students engage weekly with key events and decisions that have shaped the company, providing context for analyzing LEGO in the present day. The course also introduces aspects of Danish culture and norms and prepares students for time in Copenhagen and Billund. Course requirements include participation, preparation quizzes, discussion facilitation, and a final presentation.
