ENV 1045 - The Science of Fly Fishing

This Spring Term course is designed to situate the sport of fly fishing for trout within the scientific foundations of stream ecology, equipment construction, and physical presentation. The goal is to demonstrate how this foundation can help overcome barriers to entry in the sport for new fly anglers, and advance the on-water skills of new and experienced anglers through an immersive, hands-on, place-based learning experience.
