We will investigate the erupted products of volcanoes to gain a better understanding about the different kinds of volcanic eruptions and where they occur. Students will be introduced to the various types of volcanism on Earth and in the Solar System, methods of volcano monitoring, as well as the benefits and dangers of eruptions for people and ecosystems. Students will also gain an appreciation for the role of volcanoes in the cultural, religious, and ecological history across the world.
