May be repeated for degree credit if the topic is different. Prerequisite: 3 French courses numbered between 200 and 299. An analysis of styles, genres, and themes in relation to particular cultural contexts, as represented in literary works written in French by authors from countries other than France. Of particular interest is French language literature from Africa, the Caribbean, and Canada.
