Description: Energy law is at the forefront of developments in natural resources law, public utility law, and environmental law. Policy debates are shaping these developments in the US at the local, state, federal level, giving energy lawyers a real opportunity to influence the world we live in. This course will take a unique practical approach to introducing law students to how attorneys engage in energy policy debates and represent energy clients before state and federal courts and agencies, and the energy lawyer’s role in helping their clients assess and minimize financial, regulatory and compliance risk.
