LAW 525 - Legal Research

Prerequisites: 1L class standing.
Description: Legal Research is an introductory class in the process of legal research and the sources, in print and online, of our continuously evolving laws. In coordination with first-year Legal Writing, this course also explores the legal system, including the branches and levels of government and their relationships. You will learn to discriminate among various research tools, formulate a research strategy for any given question, organize your research, and document the authority of underlying sources as they apply to the legal issues presented.
