Description: A study of the ways in which society defines conduct and persons as criminal. Principal topics include: mental state and act; mental state as a classification device; the effect of mental disease or defect on the decision to punish; culpability of persons addicted to or under the influence of intoxicants; justification and excuse; attempt crimes
