Description: Sources of international law. United Nations human rights instruments. The question of domestic jurisdiction. Organs for enforcement of human rights law: The United Nations Commission on Human Rights and other U.N. agencies, the World Court, the European Commission and the Court of Human Rights, the Inter-American Commission and Court, domestic courts. The doctrine of humanitarian intervention. Non-governmental organizations that promote human rights law enforcement. Current issues in human rights law: population control, terrorism, economic development, compensatory discrimination, nuclear arms control as it relates to human rights conventions, immigration and emigration, and sanctuary.
