Description: This course will explore theoretical perspectives on tort law, focusing on economic analyses as well as theories making reference to rights, justice, and duties. The goal of the course is to gain a better understanding of how and why torts operates as it does - or perhaps a better understanding of how torts should operate. It will provide students with an opportunity to reflect upon tort law as an institution and to explore its theoretical foundations.
