LAW 421P - Tax Planning & Representation of Non-Profit Organizations Practicum


This practicum will give students an in-depth look at the creation, operation, and state federal regulation of non-profit organizations through practical assignments. Do you want to start a nonprofit organization? Serve on a board or serve as general counsel in a nonprofit? This unique course consists of weekly practical exercises designed to teach students the skills and practices useful for the representation and leadership of nonprofit organizations. Exercises include: drafting bylaws, drafting applications for tax exemption, developing key governance policies, evaluating business forms for commercial activities, evaluating political activities, and more.Credits: 3.
