LAW 402P - Rights of Prisoners Practicum

Students in the Rights of Prisoners Practicum will represent individuals in Virginia prisons who are eligible for parole. This will require meeting with the client, requesting and reviewing records, developing a parole packet that includes a release plan, and presenting before a member of the Parole Board. The practicum will include class time in which students will learn substantive law and representation skills, as well as individual meetings about the status of the clients’ cases.Credits: 3. Weiss
