LAW 228 - Civil Rights Seminar
A study of general statutory and constitutional protection of civil rights, with emphasis on the post-Civil War civil rights statutes (particularly Section 1983) and their contemporary use in areas such as prisoners’ rights, police misconduct, and employment discrimination. Two hours. Not offered in 2019-2020.
