The course does two things: (a) it familiarizes the student with the nature and operational techniques of the insurance business, primarily from the standpoint of the consumer, or insured; and (b) it covers the law that is applied to controversies arising between insured and insurers, and between insurers, over the interpretation and application of insurance policies.Three hours.ScalesNot offered in 2009-10.
