Prerequisite: ARTS 120. A preparation course for the Spring Term ARTS 223: Photography and the City of Paris. Students are introduced to the history of photography in France, as well as contemporary photographic artists making work in and about the city of Paris. We examine and compare the idealized Paris versus the Paris of real life, outside the realm of tourism, as seen through photography and film. Bowden.
