JOUR 351 - Editing for Print and Online Media Planned Offering: Offered when interest is expressed and departmental resources permit. Credits: 3
Prerequisites: JOUR 201 and at least junior standing. The principles and techniques of editing copy and producing publications for the print media and the World Wide Web, with emphasis on clarity of thought, legal and moral responsibilities, and effective communication. Extensive laboratory work. Attention is given to the latest computer-based production and editing applications, as students participate in producing prototype newspaper pages, the Rockbridge Report cablecast and website.
