ARAB 164 - Intensive Intermediate Arabic

FDR: FL
Credits: 4

Prerequisite: Grade of B or higher in ARAB 151 or instructor consent. Students with credit in ARAB 164 may not receive subsequent credit in a lower numbered Arabic course. Students may not receive degree credit for both ARAB 162 and 164. This course develops proficiency in the Arabic language through the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Coursework focuses on helping students master and activate large amounts of vocabulary through active use of the root-and-pattern system, as well as develop reading strategies and listening skills. Communicative skills are the priority; active, cooperative participation in group activities continues to be an instrumental aspect of the course. By the end of the term, students are expected to reach at least the high-intermediate level of proficiency. Questions? Contact Prof. Antoine Edwards at edwardsa@wlu.edu. Edwards. Planned Offering: Winter
