BUS 353 - Real Estate Finance Credits: 3 Planned Offering: Winter
Prerequisite: BUS 221 and at least junior standing. Preference to BSADM, ACCB, PACC, ECON, or JOURF (JMCB) majors during first round of registration. Students who took this course as BUS 302, should not take BUS 353. A study of the practical application of finance principles to the world of real estate investment. Topics include the history of real estate finance, macroeconomic factors, valuation, and property management. Through exploration of case studies and interaction with practitioners (guest speakers), emphasis is placed on application rather than theory.
