An introduction to the engineering and science behind devices that students use or are exposed to everyday. Contemporary equipment and technology, along with their applications, are presented first, gaining familiarity with a subject before studying the underlying scientific aspects. By investigating “how it works,” students become aware of fundamental physical principles.
