GR 309 - Greek Prose Composition

Prerequisite: GR 301 or instructor consent. This course offers a review of Greek grammar, an introduction to some finer points of syntax, and a comparative review of literary styles in ancient Greek prose. Students hone their language and literary skills by composing passages in ancient Greek, in the various styles of selected ancient authors. The course also serves as an introduction to the artistry of literary prose in ancient Greek. Staff.
