LAW 691 - Poverty Seminar

Description: This seminar is open to upperclass undergraduates and law students. An inquiry into the principal factors or agents responsible for the causes, effects, and remedies of poverty. This inquiry will be conducted through reading and close examination of appropriate in-depth studies from various disciplines and perspectives. This inquiry will lead to independent analytical research projects drawing on students’ respective areas of study to investigate specific aspects of poverty. These projects, directed by the instructor with consultation from a designated member of the law faculty, will culminate in a revised essay to be presented to the members of the seminar for discussion.
