ECON 275 - Comparative Labor Markets

Prerequisites: ECON 101 and 102. Preference to ECON majors during the first round of registration. Other majors are encouraged to add to the waiting list after registration re-opens for all class years. A comparative examination of labor markets and institutions in a set of advanced capitalist countries. Study and analysis address the roles played by institutions in explaining cross-national differences in labor-market outcomes, including employment, unemployment, labor force participation, mobility, and income distribution.
