Prerequisite: BIOL 111 and 113; MATH 101 or higher; or instructor consent. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the ecology of freshwater systems, with laboratory emphasis on streams and rivers in the local area. It includes a review of the physical and biological properties of freshwater ecosystems as well as current issues relating to their conservation.
