The fundamental principles of general chemistry, with emphasis on atomic and molecular structure, phases of matter, and spectroscopic methods. Laboratory work includes model building, qualitative inorganic analysis and a brief introduction to GC-MS, NMR and UV-VIS spectroscopies.
